Overview of the Vehicle

The 2026 GMC Yukon XL is the extended-wheelbase version of the already capable Yukon, giving families more room to work with. Starting at $72,600, it offers three engine options: a 355-hp 5.3-liter V8, a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8, and a Duramax 3.0-liter turbodiesel producing 495 lb-ft of torque and up to 26 mpg highway. Max towing reaches 8,400 pounds, and a new Key Card feature lets drivers lock, unlock, and start the SUV with a wallet-sized card.

Technology Highlights

Every Yukon XL includes a 16.8-inch touchscreen running Google Built-in software, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 360-degree camera as standard. The available Bose audio scales up to 22 speakers, and optional Super Cruise now includes hands-on lane centering. The trailering camera system also adds new views for 2026, including a transparent trailer view that removes the physical trailer from the camera image.

Design & Styling

Five trim levels span from the Elevation to the Denali Ultimate. Denali models gain a new Glacier White Tricoat color option, while AT4 variants switch to blacked-out mirror caps for a more aggressive look. Inside, upper trims feature laser-etched wood trim, massaging seats, and available 24-inch wheels.
